For, one needs to be aware of one's own actions and place in the world before one can begin to fathom the limits of one's own capabilities. The resulting confidence from this can fool the unwary into thinking that the idiot is far more capable than they really are. When you consider that confidence is the main trait in traditional job interviews, it becomes all the more unsurprising.
